Action - Gather SMS Input

Introduction

Gathers the input through customer's SMS response.

  • REQUIRED INPUTS
    • Recipient
    • Sender Name
    • Message
    • Response Expiry Type
      • Max Wait Time
      • Expired At
    • Acceptable Inputs (optional)
      • Maximum Number of Retries
  • OUTPUT
    • User's Response (String)

Note:

  • The maximum wait time for response is24 hours.
  • If the customer responds within the allowed time with the correct pre-defined inputs (if configured), the status of this action will be Succeeded.
  • While waiting for the customer's response, the status of this action will be Executing.
  • If the customer does not respond within the allowed time, the status of this action will be Failed.

 

Configuration

In order to configure this action, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the (+) icon, choose to Gather SMS Input
  2. Configure input parameters:
    • Recipient: recipient's number
    • Sender Name: choose a purchased number
    • Message: type in your message
    • Response Expiry Type (select one):
      • Max Wait Time: set a maximum wait time for the recipient's response (minutes)
      • Expire At: set the response expiry time (timestamp format)
    • Only Accept Predefined Inputs (optional)
      • Acceptable Inputs(string format)
      • Maximum Numbers of Retries
